Brooklyn Bridge Print
1922
"The Gates of the City"
This etching and aquatint of the Brooklyn Bridge was made by John Taylor Arms. Trained as an architect at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Arms etched most of Europe's great Gothic cathedrals, and architectural details fill the majority of his prints. He was widely respected as a printmaker and served as an officer in the Society of American Graphic Artists and Artists Equity.
