Souvenir from Niagara Falls
The distinctive line beadwork on this handbag identifies it as Iroquios. It was made between 1840 and 1859, most likely by a female member of the Iroquois tribe. The Iroquois lived near Niagara Falls, NY, where they sold souvenirs like this one to visiting tourists.
