Silver Reliquary Cross
late 1800s-early 1900s

Devotional aide
This reliquary cross was probably made by a silversmith in Quebec in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Such reliquaries were intended to hold the relics of a saint. This one was likely the property of a Roman Catholic nun.

3.5" high x 1.6" wide x .4" deep
Probably made by Ambroise Lafrance (1822-1918)
Hammered and chased silver
